"To represent and to lead our citizens, a senator must know them and understand their struggles. I have faced my challenges and succeeded. Now, it is my chance to give back."

Oklahoma Values

A 1982 graduate of Putnam City High School, Rhonda knows Oklahoma City. As a working mom, she knows the value of a dollar and the importance of hard work.

"I have lived and worked in the Oklahoma City area for most of the past thirty years. From high school to law school, the opportunities to make my life better have been right here. Public service is my chance to give something back to the community."

A Commitment to Family

Many candidates talk about family values. Rhonda's priorities focus on making Oklahoma a more family-friendly place. From public safety, a clean environment, and a better quality of life, to healthcare, education, and jobs, Rhonda's concerns are your family's concerns.

"I'm concerned about making our state attractive to businesses that will retain our brightest and best young people. I have three children and many nieces and nephews. I want to make Oklahoma a better place for them too."

"Education is one key to the future of our state. Our children need it; high-tech careers demand it. My parents and children live here. I want what is best for all of us."

A Passion for Politics

As a political science student at the University of Central Oklahoma, Rhonda Rudd gained an appreciation for the importance of political participation. Studying the process of lobbying, she developed a passion for politics.

"As I became involved in the political process, I realized that I wanted to be on the other side of the desk. I wanted to be the one making a difference."

The Courage of Convictions

"Too often, people feel they should wait until the environment is favorable for an idea or policy. Oklahoma cries out for leadership. I am willing to stand up for what is right and what will meet the needs of everyday Oklahomans."

"I'm really just a regular person," Rudd said. "But, I think I may be just what the legislature needs. We are a nation of the people. I am determined to represent our people's needs. I've been there. I've worked hard, been to school and raised my children. I have done all of this so that all of us can have a better life. I believe I will be elected to the Senate because people want real representation. That's what I plan to give them."
