EndorsementsDear Rhonda and her supporters, I am delighted to be one of Rhonda's supporters in her bid to represent Oklahoma County's Senate District 46. Rhonda has drive and talent. She is a consummate multi-tasker. I am proud that Rhonda is my friend. I am proud to have a friend who believes in Oklahoma so very much that she will step forward and say what she believes. Rhonda will fight for Oklahoma and for Oklahomans. I support Rhonda and wish her the very best in her bid. Sincerely yours, Ms. Williams has practiced law as an administrative law judge, a partner with
a large law firm in Oklahoma and a regulatory attorney. I have known Rhonda Rudd for the last several years as a friend and colleague at Oklahoma City University School of Law, where until recently I served as director of admissions. Although I have taken a new position in Washington, DC, recently, I remain intensely interested in Oklahoma politics and am delighted to endorse Rhonda's candidacy for the Oklahoma Senate. Rhonda has shown her capacity for compassionate and principled leadership in several ways. I have seen her moderate a debate on sensitive issues before a large audience where her positive approach to the topic and low-key manner kept tempers from flaring. Many left the event with more open minds attuned to others' views. I give Rhonda credit for leading the occasion to a favorable conclusion. I have also marched peacefully with Rhonda in demonstrations calling for respecting others and supporting dialogue on matters where many people disagree. Finally, I have witnessed Rhonda giving testimony to her experience and views before a large group who invited her to give voice to the "other side." Her singular presentation was a model of compelling advocacy that effectively made the case for opening minds and hearts where there might have seemed little room for listening. All my experiences with Rhonda suggest to me that she will be a vital voice in our beloved state's future debates in the Senate. I heartily encourage my fellow Oklahomans who reside in her district to give her the support she will need to advance our common interests. Sincerely, Over the last seven years, I have been a friend, mentor and minister to Rhonda Rudd. I have seen Rhonda take on some extremely difficult life challenges and have been amazed at her resilience and resolve to always come from a place of integrity and compassion in resolving those issues. Her recent graduation from Oklahoma City University School of Law and subsequent passing of the Oklahoma Bar indicates her strength of character and resolve to succeed even under the most difficult of circumstances. I have witnessed the seed of her long desire to run for public office incubate, grow and now blossom into her current bid for State Senate District 46. I know that her incredible depth of compassion, knowledge and personal desire to make Oklahoma a better place for all people are the credentials she possesses which will ensure a successful campaign. Because of Rhonda's courage, strength and integrity in handling her own life struggles and experiences, she wields a powerful and effective voice with which to speak for the diverse population of the 46th district. It has been my experience with Rhonda over these many years that she is clear about her role in life and she passionately follows a path once she has set herself upon it. As a resident of district 46, I energetically encourage my fellow Senate District 46 residents to provide her with the support she will require to press forward with our universal interests. Sincerely, To Rhonda and Constituents of Senate District 46: I'm not going to mince words: next year's elections for the senate and house are crucial, and those running for office have incredible challenges. Senate district 46 has an excellent opportunity to hold that office with the election of Rhonda Rudd. Rhonda and I have been friends for several years, we have worked on campaigns together, have shared advice and stories about our families, child-rearing, neighborhood and employment issues. I am a social worker, and have made it a point to seek out those who are on the margins of society, who want to contribute and make a difference, but who are in need of resources that you and I take for granted. Rhonda and I have discussed issues facing families living with poverty, mental health problems, substance abuse and domestic violence. She gets it. I can't say that about most elected officials in our legislature, or even those who are competing for those coveted seats. Rhonda has had her share of life's experiences, but she also has the ability to empathize and act on behalf of those in need. I think District 46 is lucky to have someone like Rhonda who is willing to step forward and offer her expertise and skills as a leader. Please don't let this opportunity pass you by. Sincerely, Mary Jo Kinzie Rhonda Rudd is my friend. She is the perfect candidate for Senate District 46. Rhonda understands the financial concerns of the middle class working person. Rhonda's philosophy and agenda are a perfect fit for the voters in District 46. Rhonda's issues are the same as mine and probably everyone else that lives in Senate District 46. She realizes the need of strong public education, the needs of the blue-collar middle class working person, single mothers and the aged. Rhonda has worked hard to get where she is today. She beat the odds when she graduated from Oklahoma City University's Law School along with passing the Oklahoma Bar. It is my pleasure to endorse, my friend, Rhonda Rudd as a candidate and the next Democrat Senator elected to represent Senate District 46. Sincerely, |
