Democrats echo the firm ideals of candor, hard work and care for those less fortunate. We believe in public education as the oldest and best method to improve quality of life. As Oklahoma democrats, we support improved funding for education, coupled with meaningful reforms to ensure that taxpayers get the most from every education dollar. Many taxpayers, and those who depend on taxpayer dollars, are our family members, our friends, and our neighbors. Among them are our crime victims, people with disabilities, firefighters, peace officers and other emergency responders, seniors, students, teachers, unemployed workers, and veterans. Rhonda Rudd is the embodiment of these ideals, which is the cornerstone of our state and national Democratic Party. In her years as a democrat, Rhonda has consistently demonstrated her leadership ability.

According to the US Census Bureau, Oklahoma's population is nearly 3.4 million people. Rhonda's vision is to present options for cost effective education, healthcare and senior services, which expand affordability and choice by improving systems rather than by adding to them. We must provide the services to accommodate these numbers while at the same time assuring the continued fiscal stability of our state. Rhonda would affect change to protect our limited resources while providing long-term Medicaid-supported care at home rather than in a high cost institutional setting.
